Prescription Management ​

CareLog's prescription management system enables doctors to prescribe medications and allows patients to track their prescriptions.

Overview ​

The prescription system provides:

  • Doctor prescription creation
  • Medication tracking
  • Prescription history
  • Active/inactive status
  • Patient access to prescriptions

Creating Prescriptions ​

For Doctors ​

  1. Navigate to Patient Records
  2. Select the patient
  3. Click Create Prescription
  4. Fill in prescription details:
    • Patient selection
    • Medication name
    • Dosage instructions
    • Date prescribed
    • Additional notes
  5. Submit prescription

Prescription Information ​

Each prescription includes:

  • Medication Name: Name of the prescribed drug
  • Dosage: Amount and frequency
  • Date Prescribed: When the prescription was written
  • Doctor: Prescribing physician
  • Status: Active or inactive
  • Notes: Additional instructions or information

Viewing Prescriptions ​

Patient View ​

Patients can:

  • View all their prescriptions
  • See prescription history
  • Check active medications
  • Review dosage instructions
  • Access prescription dates

Doctor View ​

Doctors can:

  • View all patient prescriptions
  • See prescription history
  • Create new prescriptions
  • Update prescription status
  • Add prescription notes

Nurse View ​

Nurses can:

  • View patient prescriptions
  • Monitor medication compliance
  • Check active medications
  • Reference dosage information

Prescription Status ​

Active Prescriptions ​

  • Currently prescribed medications
  • Ongoing treatment
  • Requires patient compliance

Inactive Prescriptions ​

  • Completed prescriptions
  • Discontinued medications
